Oh Wow
|
Hey everyone...if there is anyone still checking this out (not like there was to begin with, haha, ha...eh). So I am a senior in college and I've kind of been left to do this comic thing on my own (hopefully just as a temporary thing). Jack is super busy with school at the Art Institute in Minneapolis here, so he hasn't been able to send me any material. Hence, I am left with all of the creative work load. And that, has its problems. Well, it's not that I can't write scripts (have been for a while), the problem is thusly MY schedule. Like I said, I'm a senior, trying to finish college, thinking of my future, and I am also a huge part of a band called RisingSide (heh, I know). With so many things going on in my life, I have been distracted from all of you, and this comic that I deeply love to do. So I have learned not to make promises. I will update whenever I have the time or the means to do so. I really do hope to make this a more permanent project in the future, but for now it will have to stay as is. To all of you who support us, thank you. And I am so sorry that we cannot accommodate your comic needs on a more daily basis. Take care, and please keep us in mind.
Yours Truly

Arariel
|
|
It was Jack's fault, not mine! This promo is up instead of a comic because the script wasn't ready for me in time. And the reason why this is kinda late is because I'm moving to a new apartment! Jack and I are unfortunately not going to be living together anymore, but fear not, we will be living close enough to share script ideas and hang out as often as we do now. So he has been busy moving as well. So enjoy this, and hopefully I'll get the chance this weekend (if unpacking doesn't stop me) to work up next weeks comic. Toodloo! |

028: The Assignment - Part 3
|
|
Okay, so the last of the series is up! We will be spinning off of this idea once in a while during our random comics. If you didn't know, Arariel has also been known as Azrael, a Dominion Angel (kinda like middle management), the angel that was pretty much in charge of helping souls pass on (in other words - Death). Arariel has also been seen as an angel you would conjure to cure stupidity...huh, I guess that makes sense. So there is your Angelic history for today! See ya on the flip side. |

027: The Assignment - Part 2
|
Hmm, mysterious character -- the plot thickens!
So I hope everyone is proud of me (although I won't expect any praise anyway), because I updated TWICE this week so we can get the story spot going. The third installment of this will be posted sometime on Monday, or early Tuesday morning. I'll be going camping this weekend, so it all depends if I can get back early enough. Otherwise I will have to finish it Monday.
After this, it's back to our old antics, so rest assured. =P |

Guest Comic!
|
We have a wonderful guest comic up by my friend Chris. He has a comic called Moonblink that he is currently working on getting a website put together for. I will make sure to post a link to it when he is ready. Until then, you can see his awsome artwork and other comics on his myspace page:

Thank you so much for the comic Chris, I love it! =) |

025: "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out Kid"
|
So I'm back from NYC. I actually had this comic done last week on time, but I couldn't upload it due to where I was. And of course I didn't think of giving it to Jack to upload instead. But now it's up.
Because of my experiences in NYC, suspect there may be some short series of comics based on my adventures. At least 1-2 panel comics. This may be tied in with Jack's miscellaneous adventures as well. A short story line twist will be up for next week, followed by the fore mentioned.
Getting close to beating Resident Evil. I got a little frustrated with what I was supposed to do next, so I shut the game off before I threw it out the window. Hopefully I can tough it out without any - "outside" help. |

Alright, before we start throwing full wine bottles at our computer screen...
|
Woah, woah, woah. Hold it! We actually have a good excuse for not having a comic today! Raine is in New York, and computer-less. She hath not a laptop that liketh her and shit. She's going to be back tomorrow, so I will jump on her back and not relinquish said body part until she creates one. Expect a Tuesday or Wednesday comic.
I mean, I could have done one, but it probably would have sucked. A lot. It would have been funny, no doubt about that, but your eyes might have melted from your head. MS Paint abominations have been known to do that.
In other news, I smell like a bonfire. |

024: Push Over
|
Wow, actually keeping on time with comics lately. =P
Jack has somewhat of a...soft spot for kittens. He has always wanted to have one in our apartment, but we have alas been restricted by lease regulations. So when an event such as this occurs, you can understand my desired course of action. I, for one, can live without a kitty. I do love to visit friends with them and have even wanted one...but then I remember how expensive and 'fuzzy' they are. Waking up in the middle of the night to discharge a large furball is not my idea of fun. In fact, I would rather burn out my own eyeballs with a red hot poking iron...it would be quicker you see.
On another note, I just finished off Prince of Persia: Two Thrones. I understand that everyone thinks this game came out forever ago, and it has...but Jack and I believe that cheaper is better, and therefore have about one system behind everyone else. That way, we can afford more games and, you know, food and stuff. But I really enjoyed it. I wish there was another one out there. But I can always look forward to the next Resident Evil game at least. Currently finishing up Res 1, and starting Res 2. We have already completed Zero, and 4 (multiple times over). I'll have to now dig around to see what other games I have not yet played, but own...perhaps FF12 will suffice. |

We're Back!!
|
Hello from the Underground!!!
We are finally back up and running here at RisingSidewalks. After about 8 months of not updating, I have finally found time to work on this project again! I am very excited to get back on track and not just update but redesign some things on the website. I also slightly changed the style of my characters as well. Its all about adjusting and learning what works best.
I hope everyone can enjoy the strip again. We are back to weekly Tuesday comics. Up now is just a little cover art to kick things off. HAVE FUN KIDS! |
